Highlights

  • 85% of Women Winning endorsed candidates in 2024 Primaries won their races, advancing to the General Election in November.
  • 100% of Women Winning endorsed incumbents in 2024 Primaries won their races, advancing to the General Election in November.
  • Sarah Kruger won the DFL Primary in 26A, a seat previously held by an anti-choice Democrat. If elected, Sarah will flip the last anti-choice Democratic seat in the Minnesota Legislature.
  • Huldah Hiltsley won the DFL primary in House District 38A, and will become the first Kenyan American legislator in Minnesota.
  • Hudda Ibrahim won her Primary for St. Cloud City Council and if elected in November, will be the first Somali American woman to serve on the council. 
  • Nadia Elnagdy won a seat on the St. Anthony City Council, which up until last year only had 5 women serve on the council in the past 100 years. Now, the council is 50% women (alongside Women Winning candidate Lona Doolan) and is headed by Women Winning candidate Mayor Wendy Webster, the first woman Mayor in St. Anthony’s history.
