Board Committees
Governance Committees of the Board include: Executive, Governance, Finance, and Development. Board members play an integral role in the Events Committee planning Wine, Chocolate, & Choice, Annual Luncheon Men & Allies and other exciting events.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for women with experience in politics, fundraising, and community building. We value diversity of perspective and know that we are stronger when all of Minnesota is reflected. We welcome Black, Indigenous, Hmong, Somali, Latina/e, and others who bring their community’s perspective to the table.
Women Winning trains and endorses pro-choice candidates throughout Minnesota. We are non-partisan. As such, we are looking for board members from these regions: Southern, Central and Western Minnesota. Leaders from Greater Minnesota reflect the geographic diversity of our state. We know access to reproductive healthcare in Greater Minnesota in under attack and value rural voices.
We seek a variety of professional backgrounds: technology, healthcare, education, law, politics, and nonprofit sectors. Our Board reflects diverse professional backgrounds and occupations.
Time Commitment and Expectations
Board members attend two-hour board meetings six times per year, as well as serve on a Committee of the Board. There is one extended full-day training and orientation board retreat once per year.
To Apply
We accept applications on a rolling basis. While the application portal will stay open year-round, the selection process takes place between June and September of each year. New board members are approved annually in October, with the board term starting the following January.
Please note, elected officials and candidates are not eligible to serve on the Board for the duration of their term in office and/or campaign.
