BREAKING: Saint Paul elects first all women, pro-choice City Council

Today, Women Winning, Minnesota’s largest women’s political organization, is proud to announce that Saint Paul has elected the first all women, pro-choice City Council.

Saint Paul, Minn. (November 10, 2023) – Today, Women Winning, Minnesota’s largest women’s political organization, is proud to announce that Saint Paul has elected the first all women, pro-choice City Council.

“Women Winning has been working to elect pro-choice women for over 40 years in Minnesota. We endorse at all levels from school board to presidency, building a strong bench of political talent across the state. The new 100% pro-choice woman-led Saint Paul City Council comes after those decades of work,” said Executive Director, Nevada Littlewolf. “Electing the first all women, pro-choice City Council represents a tremendous victory for reproductive freedom and the people of Saint Paul. Women Winning is proud to have played a role in electing this incredible slate of women that will affect policy in Saint Paul for generations to come.”

Women Winning makes endorsements throughout the year. Our targeted endorsement program centers on pro-choice women candidates with the goal of electing a truly representative government and creating a more equitable Minnesota. 

Women Winning endorsed 44 local candidates for office in 2023, and will continue making endorsements and working directly with candidates for local office, Federal office, and the State Legislature in 2024.
