Saint Paul, Minn. (August 9, 2023) – Today, Women Winning, Minnesota’s largest women’s political organization, announced the endorsement of pro-choice champion, U.S. Representative Angie Craig in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District.
“The upcoming 2024 Election will be one of the most important of our lifetimes. After the fall of Roe vs. Wade, we have seen radical anti-choice politicians across the country chip away at access to abortion care until it is all but illegal, but with Representative Angie Craig’s leadership in the House of Representatives, we know that we will have a strong champion in defending the right to abortion and bodily autonomy.” said Nevada Littlewolf, Executive Director of Women Winning. “Women Winning is proud to endorse U.S. Representative Angie Craig for re-election. We look forward to continuing our partnership with her as she works to protect reproductive freedom for generations to come.”

Angie Craig was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018, winning one of the most competitive congressional races in the nation, and became the first woman elected to serve Minnesota’s Second Congressional District. During her time in Congress, Representative Craig has worked hard to support Minnesota workers and families by lowering the cost of healthcare, passing the Equality Act, and expanding access to Career & Technical Education.
Women Winning has been working for more than 40 years to elect pro-choice women to all levels of public office, from park board to President of the United States. In that time, Women Winning has raised and contributed millions of dollars to pro-choice women’s campaigns, endorsed thousands of candidates, and has more than tripled the number of pro-choice women elected officials in Minnesota. The organization’s targeted endorsement program centers on competitive districts for pro-choice women candidates with the goal of electing a truly representative government and creating a more equitable Minnesota.
Women Winning will make additional federal and state endorsements in 2023 and will continue organizing to ensure reproductive rights are protected by electing pro-choice women up and down the ballot.
