Saint Paul, Minn. (April 28, 2025) – Today, Women Winning, Minnesota’s largest women’s political organization, announced the second slate of pro-choice champion endorsements running for local office on the Minneapolis City Council in 2025.
“Minnesotans are under attack by a ruthless and cruel administration that has no intention of leading or protecting its people. In unprecedented times like these, we need elected officials that will stand up to tyranny and for the individual rights and bodily autonomy of their neighbors,” said Britta Moen, Women Winning Political Director. “We have no doubts that Aisha and Mariam will be the champions of Reproductive Freedom that we are so desperately needing at this moment in history. We are proud to stand beside them as they run for Minneapolis City Council in 2025.”
Women Winning is proud to endorse two more pro-choice champions running for City Council in Minneapolis:
Aisha Chughtai – Minneapolis City Council, Ward 10*
Mariam DeMello – Minneapolis City Council, Ward 11
*Incumbent
Women Winning will make additional endorsements in 2025 and will continue organizing to ensure reproductive rights are protected by electing pro-choice champions up and down the ballot.
