2022 has been a busy year so far — it is hard to believe it is already July! As you know, just over two weeks ago, the Supreme Court announced their decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. And then days after, we held our first in-person Annual Luncheon since 2019. It was an important time to be together in community, sharing the grief, anger, and motivation for the weeks ahead before the 2022 election.
We wanted to provide an update to Women Winning’s top supporters and share about the important work we’ve been doing during this critical time. Watch this video for an energy boost and then read more about what we have been working on below.
Our work for the 2022 Midterm Election has been well underway and we must keep it going. The actions we take today will impact reproductive rights for generations to come. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to electing leaders who will protect our rights.
At the end of June, the Supreme Court announced their decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, overturning Roe v. Wade with their decision. This removes the federally protected right to an abortion — now where you live dictates what you can do with your own body.
This decision means our work in 2022 to elect pro-choice women is a necessity. And while abortion is still legal here in Minnesota, it is not in some of our neighboring states. We must elect pro-choice women who will protect AND expand abortion and reproductive rights here in Minnesota for generations to come.
Our elected officials have the power to protect reproductive rights and this year, we must elect pro-choice women leaders ready to fight for our values. The pro-choice women we’ve endorsed this year are organizers, leaders, and advocates all ready to change the face of power and we are proud to be working with them every step of the way.
So take action today by signing up to volunteer. Our team will follow up with you directly to get you connected to a pro-choice woman’s campaign. You can also make a donation to Women Winning, which helps make sure all of our training and resources are FREE of charge to pro-choice women running for office.
In response to the Supreme Court’s decision, we are joining with other partners THIS SUNDAY to make our voices heard! Join us for a day of action on Sunday, July 17 at 11AM at St. Paul College to demand that Minnesota lead the way in securing reproductive freedom for everyone.
We’ll gather together at 11AM at St. Paul College and then march to the Capitol. Women Winning will have a table, so stop by to say hi and meet one of our powerhouse endorsed candidates.

We are proud to have endorsed more than 80 pro-choice women running for office across Minnesota so far this year. They are organizers, leaders, and advocates and we are proud to be working with them every step of the way. From one-on-one meetings to trainings, your support helps make sure pro-choice women running for office have access to our unparalleled resources.
Meet our 2022 endorsed candidates here and keep an eye out for more endorsements coming soon!
Pro-choice women win with the help and support of leaders, advocates, and organizers. Women Winning’s Political Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) Training Program helps pro-choice Minnesotans acquire the tools and connections needed to be a political leader in the state.
Last month, we were THRILLED to kick off our 2022 PLOT program. This cohort is passionate, energized, and motivated to help pro-choice women win their campaigns. We are grateful for their hard work and dedication, as we all work together to change the face of power.
From organizing Women Winning’s largest door knock of the election cycle, to executing the ever-popular event Wine, Chocolate, & Choice, Women Winning’s LAUNCH Committee shows up to change the face of power. With critical work to be done to elect pro-choice women this November and to protect reproductive rights, we need everyone engaged. Women Winning is excited to accept applications for new LAUNCH Committee members!
Applications are due by July 31st and interviews will be conducted beginning of August. New members will join the LAUNCH Committee in late August.
LAUNCH is a working volunteer committee of young professionals committed to Women Winning’s mission to recruit, train, and elect pro-choice women to all levels of public office. Members reflect the diversity of pro-choice women’s leadership in Minnesota and people from all backgrounds, professional sectors, and Minnesota geographies are encouraged to apply.
